[EDITOR'S NOTE] By Jenn Molina – HealthyState.org turns 1 year old today. It’s amazing how time flies when you’re raising your first child. The joy, the tears, the sleepless nights. Having never embarked on human procreation myself, I think of HealthyState.org as my first “baby”—conceived with help from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and six partner stations. While the grant officially started April 1, 2010, our team came on board in the months that followed. Being spread throughout Florida, we’ve experienced the ups—and occasional downs—of cohabitation in a virtual newsroom. But we’re getting used to each other’s styles, backgrounds and voices. We often joke that we need a confessional room, à la MTV’s Real World, where we can vent our frustrations and then get back …
